One similarity between the first film version of Macbeth and the more modern film version is that in both Lady Macbeth wanted to be in charge of Duncan's death. Even though Lady Macbeth didn't kill Duncan she was the one in charge of planning the whole thing. In both films Lady Macbeth was very confident and she wasn't scared about killing Duncan. A difference between the two films is that in the modern film Banquo's ghost actually appeared while Macbeth and his wife were celebrating with the others. While in the first film version you couldn't see Banquo's ghost even though you knew he was there.
I liked the modern film version better because it had scenery and it was very interesting. Even though the first film version had very good actors, the modern version was more interesting. I thought the first film version was very simple and hard to undertand.

Good point about Lady Macbeth being the mastermind behind the murder of Duncan. Who do you think is more guilty of the murder: Macbeth or Lady Macbeth?
