The film version of Macbeth and the more modern film have many similarities and differences. One similarity between these two films is that Lady Macbeth's drug problem is showcased in both films. The difference between both films is that in the new film new scences were added. For example, in the beginning of the film Lady Macbeth and Macbeth were at the cementary where she was crying for her beloved son. This scene is important because it introduces you into the problematic part of the film. When seeing these two films I reached to the conclusion that the film that I enjoyed was the more modern one because it was more realistic and it had more scenery.

I agree with Jacky that the begining scene of the more modern version of Macbeth was important, it set a pretty ominous and suspenseful tone for the viewers. I also agree that the modern version was more enjoyable because it was more realistic and obviously had more scenery than the play version.
