Priscilla Figueroa

One similarity in both films is the plot. Macbeth was trying to become king or boss of the castle or gang. Which he did by committing murders. A difference is that the witches were pretty and they used seduction to grab Macbeths attention and to believe their prophecy. While in the older movie the witches were dirty, older, and very unattractive.

  1. Which interpretation of the witches do you think is better and/or more accurate? Do you think Shakespeare intended the witches to be hag-like, crazy old ladies or seductive young girls?

  2. I agree with what you have said and I also did not notice that they used seduction to lure in Macbeth. Good job.

  3. I agree with what you've stated, although i prefer the film version because it feels better made. The play version feels as if it was slapped together one night during one of their performances. That's just my opinion.

  4. I like the modern film better because they made it more realistic and a better understanding about the play of William Shakespeare. Priscilla which one do you like more?

  5. I liked better the older version because i was able to use my imagination to play out the movie in my head.
